Ground Deformation Effects on Subsurface Pipelines and Infrastructure Systems
Thomas R. Briggs Professor of Engineering
Please join us Thursday, February 22nd for a joint meeting with the ASCE Seattle.
Please consider sponsoring a student. There is an option on the Brown Paper Tickets registration for this.
Please note that this meeting is at the Red Lion in Bellevue. Because this is a more expensive venue, unfortunately we are not able to charge the discounted rate of $30 like we have at the Best Western in Seattle.
The board members hold a planning meeting from 430 to 530 before each dinner meeting. We would love to have you participate or just listen in, so we are going to provide a conference call in number for future meetings. Anyone can participate.
If interested in calling in, please shoot me an email, email@example.com
Spring Short Course and Seminar 2018
Waterfront Engineering – Evolving Practices in Seismic Regions
We are pleased to announce our 35th annual Spring Seminar will be focused on Waterfront Engineering and Construction. This topic was last presented by our group back in 2003 and since then a number of major waterfront projects have been designed and built in Seattle and the greater Puget Sound area. The same challenges exist but we have new methods to use in design and new technology to use in construction. Our region also has unique seismic demands that have evolved over the years that affect waterfront projects. It’s a great time to talk about Waterfront Engineering in Seattle!
